Ah, Tesla! Always dreaming of adding new pickup trucks to their list of accomplishments, but also terribly responsible when something goes wrong. Well, just imagine - Tesla announces a massive recall of all CyberTruck electric pickup trucks because of something called the risk of inadvertent acceleration, or simply put, a sticking gas pedal. The situation was quite slippery, literally!
Let's get to the bottom of it. Turns out, it's all about the fact that the gas pedal can stick. And why is that, you ask? Because during the assembly phase, someone decided that soap was a great idea as a lubricant! Because of the same soap, in some cases the pedal pad can move out and get stuck in the trim of the car thus blocking the gas pedal from being depressed. Yes, my humor hurts as much as your surprise. And all of this took place in a factory in Austin, Texas. As the saying goes, everything big starts small, and in this case, it started with a bubble.
At the end of the day, 3,878 CyberTruck electric pickups that were manufactured between November 2023 and April 2024 are under recall, and most of them, as usual, are in the United States. But it's not all bad, as all owners seem to be prepared for something extraordinary by now. After all, in addition to sticking pedals, they've already been met with steering motor failures, corrosion, and even software bugs. Ready for anything!"
And all this from a car that Ilon Musk announced as "apocalypse-proof" (apparently meaning apocalypse without soap). Well, of course, could not do without impressive figures - just two days after the presentation in November 2023, more than 200 thousand pre-orders were received. Well, who would doubt it?
Now the important question, do you think CyberTruck owners will hold on to their vehicles like soap in their hands or would they still prefer to return them back to the manufacturer? I look forward to your comments!"
