If the EX Max wheel is blocked and cannot rotate, and the high motor current continues to flow, this can result in a high continuous load, which in turn can damage the controller and burn out the motor wheel windings. To avoid this, EX Max has added protection to prevent current flow on a locked wheel.
This works as follows: if the motor (phase) current exceeds 120 amps, without the wheel rotating, an alarm (beeping) will sound for two seconds. After that, the controller will automatically shut down.
